Pizza Dough

The Base Of a Pizza.

Ingredients

  • ½ A teaspoon of sugar
  • 25g of yeast
  • 450g of flour
  • 150 ml of tepid water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1Ttablespoon of olive oil

Method

  1. Mix the sugar, yeast and 30 ml of the tepid water to a paste.
  2. Set aside in warm place for 15minutes or until the mixture is frothy.
  3. Meanwhile, sift the flour and salt into a large, warmed bowl.
  4. Add the yeast mixture, the remaining tepid water and oil. Mix to a smooth dough.
  5. Kneed for about 8 minutes or till stretchy. Set aside in a warm place for 45 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size.
  6. The dough is ready to use.

The dough makes 4 small bases or 1 large base.
