Pizza Dough
This is a great recipe to do with children of all ages, as pizza building can be done with many hands, and to almost any taste. The pizza ingredients (sauce, toppings, cheese) are not included in this recipe and should be decided by the cooks.
This recipe comes to me from my aunt Mary. I like the sweetness of this one, and the semi-healthy nature of it. I usually use wheat flour, but you can use white or half and half. You don’t have to activate your yeast before hand, as this does not need to rise as much as a loaf of bread does.

Ingredients
2 cups wheat, or white flour
1 pkg. (2 ¼ tsp.) yeast
¾ tsp. salt
1 cup hot tap water
1 Tbsp. Cooking oil
1 Tbsp. Honey
Spoon the flour into a measuring cup and level off. Pour into a large bowl. Add yeast and salt. Stir to blend. Add hot tap water, oil and honey. Stir vigorously until all ingredients are mixed. Cover with plastic wrap and let the whole thing rise ten minutes. Place the dough in greased 15 x 10 pan or a standard round pizza pan. Press to cover the bottom of the pan and up the sides to form a rim (holds in the toppings and looks attractive). Spread pizza sauce evenly on the dough. Place your favorite toppings on the sauce, and cover with a cheese of your choice. Bake evenly at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
Let dough rise longer for thicker crust. Sauce can be tomato sauce with oregano, basil, garlic, etc. sprinkled on.
