Raspberry Buns
The sublime taste of this raspberry bun recipe is delectable. The delicious tartly taste of raspberry jam in the center of a rich and flaky pastry has a most remarkable taste that you will enjoy.

This raspberry bun recipe is rather simple to make. The raspberry jam gives those plain old buns, were all used to a rich and tarty taste that is delicious. Tasty buns filled with raspberry jam, are great with just about any meal. The bittersweet, raspberry bun recipe will only take about a half and hour to prepare an cook.
Ingredients
- 6oz Plain White Flour
- Pinch of Salt
- 2oz Butter
- 2oz Caster Sugar (Plus Extra, to Dust)
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Egg
- 2 Teaspoons Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Raspberry Jam
- Melted Butter (for brushing)
Preparation
Start by preheating the oven to 400°F and greasing a baking tray. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl and rub the butter into the flour. Then add the sugar and baking powder. Whisk in the egg and add the milk and mix with the dry ingredients to form a dough. Divide the dough into equal portions, and roll into balls.
Next lay the balls of dough on the greased baking tray, and make a hole in the top of each using your thumb. Fill with a small quantity of raspberry jam, and pinch the dough closed. Flatten the buns slightly and brush with the melted butter and dust with the caster sugar. Finish by baking the raspberry buns for about 15 minutes or until the tops of the buns crack open slightly to reveal the jam.
