Scone recipe I got from foods class.

preheat your oven to 375-400 degrees

ingredients:
1 cup flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
0.5 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp butter
1 egg
1/4 cup milk

method:
part 1:
1)sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a large bowl
2)cut in the butter until it resembles coarse oatmeal
3)(optional) add in cheese, raisins, or blueberries

part 2:
1)beat 1 whole egg and add milk to beaten egg
2)stir in liquids to moisten the flour mix
3)turn onto a lightly floured board and kneed lightly
4)roll the dough to 1/2″ thickness and then cut into circles or wedges
5)place on a lightly greased cookie sheet about 1″ apart
6)brush with extra egg white on top
7)bake at 375-400 degrees for 12-15 minutes. serve warm
