Semolina Cake – Make It Delicious

Now make the delicious and traditional Semolina cake and have a great party time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Semolina
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup plain flour
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • ¼ tsp saffron or a pinch yellow color
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk approximately
  • ½ cup oil
  • ½ tsp green cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp cashews or pine nuts

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a 8-9 inches baking tin.
  2. Sift together semolina, plain flour, wheat flour, soda and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In a big bowl combine yogurt, oil and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add semolina mixture, saffron, green cardamom and milk to get a soft dropping consistency. Beat with an electric beater at medium speed for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared baking tin. Sprinkle cashews and pine nuts on top. Bake for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.

    Sounds good enough to eat. Now all I must do is convert the 200 degrees c to something f. lol.
