1 cup flour

2 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons wheat germ

1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons vegetable shortening

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

2 tablespoons honey

1/4 cup honey

Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, wheat germ and whole wheat flour in a bowl. Cut butter and shortening into the dry ingredients with a pastry blender until mixture forms course crumbs. Add sesame seeds, honey and milk. Stir with a fork until dough holds together. Roll our dough 1/16″ on lightly floured board. Cut dough into 1 inch by 2 1/2 inch rectangles with pastry wheel. Bake in preheated oven 350* for 12 minutes until nut browns around edges. Makes 50 wafers.
