Spoon Rolls

Delicious yeast rolls for any occasion.

Ingredients

2 cups warm water, 1 package dry yeast, 1 egg that is well beaten, 1/3 cup sugar, 3/4 cup shortening that is melted, and 4 cups of self-rising flour.

Method

Dissolve yeast in warm water.  Add egg, sugar, shortening, and flour.  Mix well and refrigerate for at least 2 to 4 hours.  Drop by spoonful into greases muffin tins (fill to about half full).  Bake at 425 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
