Tea Biscuits

1 cup margarine
3 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup milk
sugar
Mix first four ingredients as for pir crust. Plump raisins in small amount of hot water, pour off excess water. Add raisins, vanilla, egg, and milk to dry mixture. Roll out and cut 3/8-inch thick. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
