The people who ate the most red meat had the highest levels of GGT and hsCRP.
GGT and ALT are enzymes in the liver and liver disease increases. These blood levels are measured when the liver or injury is suspected. According to a study at the University of North Carolina and published in 2005, may be too high liver enzymes in diabetes.
