This is a wheat-free white bread recipe that only needs one rise.

Wheat Intolerance

Lately there are more and more people discovering that they have a wheat intolerance. Many of them have been suffering from an intolerance for decades without knowing it. The symptoms of of a wheat intolerance are; 

A wheat intolerance difference from a wheat allergy. The symptoms of an intolerance often appear a day or more after one has eaten the item. Therefore it is hard to determine what is causing the fatigue for instance.

People who suffer from a wheat intollerance are usually alright with eating Spelt, this a flour which is easier to digest. However people with an wheat allergy or gluten allergy are strongly adviced to avoid Spelt because it still contains gluten but in smaller amounts. Recipe for white bread

Ingredients

  • 500 ml water luke warm
  • 4 tsp. dried yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 450 gram brown rice flour
  • 50 gram buckwheat
  • 50 gram corn flour
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp salt

Method

  1. Mix the luke warm water with the yeast and the sugar. Leave this for 10 minutes or to until it frots.
  2. Mix the the dry ingredients  in a large bowl, make a well and add the water olive oil and egg.
  3. Mix this all well  and put the mixture in a baking cake or bread tin. Place this in a warm spot until the dough comes to the top of the tin.
  4. Bake the bread for 1 hour at 180 – 200 C
