Best Pancake Recipe From Scratch
Instructions and tips to making the best pancakes possible without breaking a sweat
Probably one of the most convenient and delicious food plates there is, pancakes can be delicious with almost anything and even without! But the fact is that sometimes, even a simple deviation from the recipes one watches in Food Network or other culinary channels can turn those yummy treats into a burned mess inside the pan, or a crusty and hard piece of construction material.

Today, we will talk about the easiest way to make a pancake, along with convenient tips on how to avoid problems with your would-be meal:
The first thing to decide is whether you prefer to buy a premade mix from the supermarket, or make your own. I recommend on using the premade one only if time or kitchen helpers (sons, daughters, husband, wife or even grandma or grandpa) are not really much available. The flavor and texture of a homemade pancake recipe can really put a smile on everyone’s faces.
The recipe is as follows:
3/4 of a cup of flour (can be normal or specifically to making pancakes)
3/4 of a cup of water
1 and 1/2 spoonfuls of vegetable or cooking oil
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
It gives as much as 10 small pancakes. Simply double the quantities if you need to make the double in pancakes.

The recipe itself is quite simple, and due to there being no milk in it, there is no need of a blender and one can, with patience, mix it up in a bowl with a spoon.
Now, the trick to avoiding nasty burns or crusts in your pancakes is to apply a minuscule quantity of oil inside the frying pan when it is sufficiently hot. Apply the oil throughout the pan with a piece of paper, and then proceed to pour the mix inside, leaving each side of the pancake for less than 45 seconds.
If you want to add a secondary ingredient, such as chocolate chips or fruit slices, do not mix then in, instead, add them to it raw. This gives a better flavor than simply mixing them along the other parts of the recipe.

Enjoy!

It sounds good and fluffy. My grandma use to make them like this but she would vary whole milk and even buttermilk in it. I would make them and put a pinch of sugar and cinnamon in them too. Pancakes are great~Thanks for sharing a great recipe. Pancakes goes great with fried bologna too~

How much is a “spoonful” of cooking oil? Are you talking about a teaspoon and a half of cooking oil, or a table spoon and a half?
