Crepes
They’re similar to pancakes, but slightly different and taste better.
Ingredients – Baked Apples
8 – 10 nice sized apples sliced up ( with or without the peeling – Your choice )
Place apples in a microwave bowl and add brown sugar ( approximately half a cup of brown sugar, but this is to your liking, if you would like sweeter tasting apples then you will have to add more and if you like them to have more of a tangy or tart taste, then you may not want to add as much brown sugar ).
Add a couple of dashes of cinannamon and top with 3-4 tsp of butter or margarine.
Place in microwave on high at 2 minute intervals. Every two minutes check your apples so you can mix them and check for taste and consistency for your crepes. You want them to have a nice taste. It will take longer or less time depending on how many apples and the size of them.
Once you are happy with the taste of your apples you can prepare your dream whip.
Prepare dream whip according to the box. I like to make a couple of packages because we don’t like to be stingy with the whip cream. Keep refridgerated until your crepes are ready so your whip cream does not become runny on you especially in the heat.
Ingredients – Crepes
- 2 cups of Bisquick or any pancake batter that you like
- 2 1/3 cups of milk
- 2 eggs
Mix your ingredients together and heat your frying pan with oil til sizzling hot. Lower your temperature to medium heat. Add your crepes or pancake batter slowly and spread out in your frying pan by rotating your frying pan around so your crepes will be thin and not thick. Usually one crepe at a time but they will cook very fast, only a matter of seconds and then you will have to flip them. As soon as they start to bubble and get a golden brown color you are ready to flip ( the same as you would with your pancakes).
When your crepes are ready spread one at a time on a plate add your baked apples. Roll up your crepe and add whip cream to the top. You will notice there is juice from your apples in with them and you can add some of the juice to the top of your crepes or just get rid of the excess liquid from the apples.
Serve hot and enjoy !
Will make approximately 12 -15 crepes depending on the size you make them.
For variations try fresh berries or any fruit that you enjoy !
