How to Make Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs
published by bearhugs on Jun 1, 2009
No more guessing if the eggs are done! This is how to boil those eggs perfectly.
I have made these hard boiled eggs more than 20 times. It’s from trial and error that I discovered 15 minutes boiling cooks it perfectly. And make sure to use cold water to avoid cracks.
Here’s how easy it is to make perfect hard boiled eggs:
- Put the eggs in a pot and cover them with cold tap water
- Bring to a boil
- When water is boiling, reduce heat to medium and set the timer for 15 minutes. Keep the lid half-closed while boiling.
- After 15 minutes it’s done!
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. I usually get stuck bringing the devilled eggs to family BBQs and this might help me out. I’ll give it a try. Any tricks for easy peeling of the shells?
