The Omeletoast Creation

published by WSHEPARD on Aug 23, 2009

A quick and easy breakfast.

Here’s how to make a creation I call omeletoast: First you fry up some bacon, sausage or ham. One or the other or all three if you choose. After you fry your meat or meats of choice. Chop them up into small pieces. Use a eight inch frying pan or a bigger pan if you are going to make more than one omeletoast. Mix up your eggs as if your going to scramble them. One egg per omeletoast is sufficient. Just add a splash of milk to your egg mix. Then take a piece of bread and cut out the middle leaving about one half of a inch of bread inside the crust of bread all the way around it. If you like onions chop up some onion for each omeletoast. Now its time to cook. Put your pan on the stove on low heat and melt about a tablespoon of butter. Drop in your amount of chopped onions and fry them in the butter. Once you fry them gather them up in the middle of the pan with your spatula into a small circle. Now take your bread crust cut out and place it into the pan with the onions centered in the middle. Quickly pour into the center enough of your egg mix to half fill the hole in the middle of the bread. Now sprinkle your meat over the egg and let it cook until the egg begins appear almost cooked half way through the thickness of your egg. Carefully place your spatula under the bread all the way until you can lift the whole omeletoast up and flip it over quickly. After a few flips sprinkle over the top some shredded cheese. Talk about a quick and easy to make breakfast. You get your toast at the same time with your choice of omelet flavor. Salt and pepper to flavor either as you cook it or after it is done. Now with your center cut outs of bread you can dip them in the remainder of your egg mix and make mini french toast out or them. Have them with syrup on the side. With a good hot cup of coffee this make a great quick to make breakfast for those who don’t have alot of time to prepare a big full meal.
