Apple Peach Mini Crumbles Recipe

A recipe on how to make Apple Peach mini crumbles.

Not only is this a healthy dessert but it is something you can make with your kids for quality time. Its quick, simple and easy.

Nutrients per saving: 75 calories, 2g Fat, 15g Carbohydrates, 1g Protein, 2g Fiber, 68 mg, Sodium trace of Cholesterol.

Ingredients:

  • 1 c sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 apple, sliced and stewed
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 1/3 c rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tsp reduced-calorie margarine, melted
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 c custard
  • 2 scoops ice cream

Equipment list:

  • Scrap bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Wooden spoon
  • Chopping board
  • Paring knife
  • Muffin tray
  • 3x bowls
  • Peeler
  • Tray

Method

  1. Peel, slice and remove core form apple
  2. Place into a saucepan with 1/2 c water and 1T brown sugar. Simmer for 15 minutes until apple is soft.
  3. Add peaches to apple mixture.
  4. Cut pastry to fit muffin mould. Spray mould. Gently fit pastry into mould.
  5. Arrange peaches and apples in bottom of pastry cases.
  6. Combine oats, remaining sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl, stirring well.  Add margarine and stir until blended.
  7. Sprinkle mixture over apple and peaches and bake at 180˚c  for 30 minutes. Serve warm with custard and ice cream. ( Ice cream is optional )
