If you like banana bread, this is a very simple recipe to make any time of the year.

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 mashed bananas ( best when rotten and frozen and the rethawed when you want to make your bread)
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup walnuts ( optional)

Method

Mix all your ingredients in order and pour into a greased small bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately an hour. This recipe has been known to take longer then an hour, so watch the color. When it achieves a nice golden color, you know it is ready.

If you want to double the recipe, the ingredients are as follows :

  • 5 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 banana’s
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • dash of salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • walnuts ( optional)

Follow directions the same as above.
