Barfi

A delicious Indian milk dessert.

10 – 15 persons

¾ cup butter/ghee

1½ cups sugar

1 cup of liquid milk

2½ cups of powder milk

½ cup Nestlé cream (optional)

Chopped Almond Nuts (optional)

  1. In a heavy saucepan melt butter/ghee
  2. Meanwhile mix the Nestlé cream with the milk powder
  3. Add sugar, liquid milk to the butter/ghee
  4. Stir continuously for 10 minutes
  5. Slowly add the powder milk and stir in continuously until the mixture becomes thick
  6. Grease a cake tray and spread the hot mixture flat
  7. Sprinkle the almond nuts
  8. Refrigerate for 2 hours
  9. Cut the barfi into diamond or square shapes
  10. Serve and enjoy!
