Bread and Butter Pudding

An easy recipe using left over bread.

This is a simple recipe to make. Kids and adults alike will love it.

Ingredients

  • 10 Slices of stale bread or bread rolls
  •  15 gms Butter
  • One cup of Milk or cream
  • Sugar
  • 1 egg

Method

If the bread is very hard soak it overnight in milk (or cream if you want a richer pudding). In a bowl mix half a cup of sugar with one cup of milk. Add the egg and beat together. Pour over the bread. Place small knobs of butter on the top and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for half an hour or until the top is golden.

Eat warm or cold.
