Butterscotch Caramel

Dad’s favorite dessert.

A delicious, smooth caramel taste. Easy to make and will impress guests. Great after a hot or spicy dinner.

1 cup brown sugar
2 dessertspoons powdered gelatine
1 tablespoon butter
2 cups milk
2 eggs

Place sugar, butter, egg yolks and milk in a pan and stir constantly over low heat until boiling.

Cool then add the gelatine dissolved in a cup of hot water.

Add beaten egg whites.

Beat all well together and refrigerate for a couple of hours until set.

Great made in a glass bowl so you can see how the layers separate.
