Black Forest Cake Recipe

How to make a black forest cake.

Ingredients
Flour                                               1 and ½ cup       
Butter                                              150 grams
Tin of Cherry                                     1
Baking powder                                  1 and 1/2 half tablespoon
Drinking Chocolate                             200 grams
Eggs                                                 2
Condense Milk                                   1 tin of 400 grams
Vanilla essence                                 1 tablespoon
Soda                                                 2 tablespoon
For Icing
Fresh Cream                                      250 grams
Powdered Sugar                                 50 grams
Dairy Milk Chocolate                           2 of Rs.10
 
Method
Pre- heat oven @ 180, Grease a tray and dust it with flour, Keep aside.
Sieve flour, baking powder and Drinking chocolate together. In a big bowl add softened butter (not melted) condense milk and vanilla essence. Beat together till smooth; now fold in the flour mixture continuously beating the mixture slowly and steadily. Now add 1 egg and continue beating, no lumps should form and the mixture should start to rise. Now add the second egg and soda, the mixture should be smooth and fluffy by now, no lumps and should rise. Pour mixture in the tray and cook in the oven for 1 hour or till the toothpick comes clean. Remove from oven and cool. Then cut the cake horizontally in 3 slices.
Take the cherry tin, drain the syrup and keep aside, chop cherries in half and then divide it in 3 equal parts, keep aside. Also grate the chocolates. Beat together sugar and cream on ice and coldwater till cream starts to peak.
Take the bottom cake slices and soak it with 2-3 tbspn of sugar syrup (use the drained syrup from the cherry tin). Cover the slice with whipped fresh cream and chopped cherries. Place another slice over it, soak with sugar syrup, and cover with cream and cherries. Place the finally slice over it and now cover the entire cake with cream, use butter knife to smooth out the edges, sprinkle grated chocolates all over and decorate it with cherries. Freeze for at least 1 hour before serving.
