Chocolate Cake in a Mug Recipe

published by Steve Ryvin on Jan 30, 2009

A great recipe to make a small serving of chocolate cake. It all fits in a mug, and cooks in the microwave!

This is a great recipe I found that I’ve been using for a while now.  It’s great when you just want a small serving of chocolate cake, and you want it quick.  It fits in a mug and cooks in the microwave!

Note: 1 Tbsp. = 3 Tsp.

Ingredients

 - 4 Tbsp. sifted cake flour

 - 4 Tbsp. Sugar

 - 2 Tbsp. Cocoa

 - 3 Tbsp. Milk

 - 3 Tbsp. Oil

 - 1 Egg

 - 1 Dash of Vanilla

 - 3 Tbsp. Choc. Chips (Optional)

Procedure

 1. Add all dry ingredients to the mug and mix well with a fork.

 2. Add egg and mix.

 3. Add all wet ingredients and mix well.

 4. Add Choc. Chips if you want.

 5. Put mug in microwave and cook 3 minutes.  The cake will rise over the top of the mug, don’t worry.

 6. Take out and let cool.

 7. Eat! Serves 1 or 2 people.

    Wow…
This is great! I didn’t have any cake mix left, so I was searching for a recipe online…
I found this recipe, and it worked great! Not to mention it was done in 5 minutes, so I didn’t even have to wait for an actual cake to cook! I recommend this recipe to anyone chocolate or cake lovers out there…

It was good for a quick snack, but it needs a bit more flavor…
