Chocolate Walnut Brownies Recipe
CHOCOLATE WALNUT BROWNIES RECIPE.
Ingredients : (Yields approx. 1 Kg.)
250 gms. Chocolate
125 gms. Unsalted Butter
5 nos. Eggs
250 gms. Sugar
10 ml. Vanilla Essence
1 tsp. Baking powder
180 gms. Plain flour (Maida)
125 gms. Walnuts (coarsely chopped)
A pinch of salt
Method :
Pre heat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler (Heat water in a pan and put chocolate in another pan smaller than the first one, melt chocolate over the hot water.)
Add butter to the melted chocolate and mix well.
Whisk eggs with the help of an electric beater or mixer, till light and fluffy. Blend these eggs into the chocolate and butter mixture.
Add vanilla, baking powder and salt.
Fold in Maida mixed with walnuts. (This is done to prevent the nuts settling at the bottom of the cake.)
Grease the base of the cake tin or line it with non stick butter paper.
Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes.
Insert a skewer or knife in the cake to see if done. The knife should come out clean.
