Coke Cake

2 cups flour

2 cups sugar

2 sticks margarine

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup Coke

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon soda dissolved in milk

2 eggs

1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

3 tablespoons cocoa

nuts, chopped or halved

Combine flour and sugar in a large bowl.  Take margarine, Coke and cocoa and heat to boiling.  Pour over flour and sugar and add beaten eggs, vanilla and milk with the soda.  Add marshmallows and beat well.  Batter will be thin and marshmallows will float on top.  Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in a 350-degree oven, using only a 9 x 13-inch pan as it must be hot when icing. 

Icing:

1 stick margarine

1 tablespoon cocoa

6 tablespoons Coke

1 box confectioners sugar

Combine Coke, cocoa, and margarine and heat to boiling.  .  Ice cake immediately.  Sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped nuts, if desired
