Delicious and Easy Fruit Cake Recipes
Some of the simplest and healthiest cake recipes to make today involve using natural fruits as the main ingredients. They are tasty sweet treats that will satisfy any cravings, especially when you are on a diet. We now present two of our favorites, a no-bake peach cheesecake, and a fresh strawberry cake.
For the no bake peach cheesecake version of our favorite cake recipes, you will need to gather the following ingredients:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
6 tbsp melted butter
1 cup sugar, divided
4 packs of cream cheese
1 package of peach gelatin mix
2 or 3 fresh peaches, chopped
1 container of whipped topping
Mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and ¼ cup of sugar together, blending well. Press the mix into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan, and refrigerate. Beat the cream cheese and remaining sugar together, using a mixer, until blended smooth. Add the peach gelatin, peaches and whipped topping, mixing well. Add to refrigerated crust, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
For the fresh strawberry cake, you will need:
1 box of white cake mix
1 package of strawberry gelatin
½ cup boiling water
½ cup fresh strawberries, halved
1 cup canola oil
Dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, and pour over the dry cake mix in a large bowl. Add eggs, oil and strawberries, and mix until completely blended. Pour into a prepared pan, and bake at 350 degrees following the directions on the packaged mix.
