Eggless Sponge Cake Recipe

There can never be a good party without a Cake right? My Niece & Nephew are allergic to Eggs, so it can be hard to find a suitable cake. Here’s a great tasting eggless cake that everyone can enjoy!

The Ingredients:

1.    140 grams (5 oz) Self-raising flour

2.    1 tsp Baking powder

3.    200 grams Condensed milk

4.    60 ml Melted butter or Margarine

5.    75 ml Water

6.    1/2 tsp Soda bi-carbonate

7.    1 tsp Vanilla essence

Instructions:

Ø  First start by taking the flour, baking powder and soda bi-carbonate and place in a bowl. Sieve them together.

Ø  Next add the flour mixture, melted butter, condensed milk, vanilla essence and water in a bowl. Make sure you beat the mixture well.

Ø  Then pour the mixture into a greased tin of 150 mm (6″) diameter.

Ø  Keep the tin for baking the cake in the oven, set at 200 degree C for 10 minutes. Afterwards, reduce the temperature to 150 degree C and bake the cake for 10 minutes.

Ø  When Cake stops sticking to the sides of tin and becomes quite spongy, that means it is ready. Remove the tin from the oven and allow it to rest/stand for one minute. Overturn the tin over a slab and tap sharply to take out the cake.

Ø  Let the cake cool. Keep it in a plate and decorate it.

Ø   Your cake is ready to serve

There we have it, a simple, popular recipe for an egg-less sponge cake!
