Even in the developed countries, the people are gradually decreasing their consumption of such foods. Due to the high risk threatening the health, people are considering to adopt the back-to nature style and the famous Indonesian cuisine recipes is Es Cincau (Cincau Served with Syrup and Ice)

Es Cincau (Cincau Served with Syrup and Ice)

  • 300 g cincau (ready made), cubed small
  • 200 ml red syrup
  • 1000 ml coconut milk
  • Crushed ice

*Note:

Cincau: a kind of gelatin used in cool drink.

Cincau is made from cincau leaves and water. Knead the cincau leaves thoroughly and sieve, let stand for a few minutes until you get a greenish pudding.

  1. Put coconut milk in a pan, bring to boil, and set aside.
  2. Pour 2 tbsp syrup into a glass. Add the cincau and crushed ice, pour the coconut milk on top.
  3. Serve immediately.

*Serves : 5

*One serving : 240 Calories

    I like the ones presented with green cincau – they look so good. I wish they can be sold in my country, whereonly the black cincau is sold. So yummy and refreshing.
