French Chocolate

A recipe I often use… I thought I could share it with you! Hope it tastes well!

You need

The recipe is for 4-6 people.

The cake

4 eggs

2 cup sugar

150 g butter

100 g dark chocolate

(50 g dark chocolate for decoration)

1.5 cups flour

1 pinch of baking soda

Truffles

100 g dark chocolate

50 g butter

2 tbsp icing sugar

1/2 cup cream

1 tsp vanilla

How to do:

Preheat oven to 175 degrees.

Grease a round shape, 22-26 cm, and pour a little wheat flour over it or use breadcrumbs.

Whip eggs and sugar until it gets fluffy.

Melt the butter in a water bath: Place a bowl over a pot of boiling water. Stir in about 100 grams of chocolate so it blends with the butter.

Stir in the butter and chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar mixture. Stir in flour and baking powder. Pour the pastry in a form and bake for about 35-40 minutes.

Now you can choose whether to tear 50 grams of chocolate over the warm cake and get a chocolate cover or if you want a soft layer of truffle on the cake.

If you choose chocolate, do the following:

Before the cake cools down you tear down  the rest of the chocolate, 50 grams, and sprinkle it over the cake. When the chocolate melts, spread it out with a knife. Let the cake cool completely.

For truffle cover, do the following:

Let the cake cool completely. Chop the chocolate roughly. Boil the whip cream in a saucepan. Take from the heat. Beat in the chocolate, butter, sugar and vanilla. Whip it fluffy. Let cool until the mixture begins to thicken. Spread or brush out evenly over the cake and chill until the truffle have slightly hardened .

The cake will be even better if it is allowed to stand in refrigerator overnight. Just remember to take out the cake for a while before serving, so it becomes a little easier to cut.

Serve with whipped cream!

Sorry for my bad engilsh, but i hope it tasted good!
