Honey-lemon Loukoumades!

Honey -lemon fluffy loukoumades (Somehow like a fluffy donut) this a greek recipe that will find as a dessert in all the Greek taverns.

Ingredients for the dough of loukoumades

  1. 250 gr. Whole milk
  2. 10 gr yeast
  3. 15gr. sugar
  4. a pinch of salt
  5. 260 gr. flour
  6. olive or corn oil for frying
  7. honey
  8. lemon
  9. walnuts

Preparation

  1. First warm half of the milk and then dissolve the yeast in it.
  2. Add the sugar and the salt .After that add the milk and the flour slowly mixing all the time.Remove from the fire and let it inside a warm place  covered with a towel for 30 minutes to an 1 hour.
  3. Then make small balls with the dough and fry them(Turn them all the time and remove them fro the fire when loukoumades have a golden color.
  4. Make a homey lemon sauce to serve with.(Your choice add as much lemon as you want or skip it if you do n’t like it).Sprinkle with walnuts.I usually add the honey in them and squeeze half of lemon on top.
  5. This dessert is perfect with chocolate (I prefer bitter),orange juice any kind of nuts and cinnamon.Choose the taste that you like
