How to Make a Sponge Cake

How to make a delicious sponge cake.

Ingredients

  • 100g butter
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 100g self raising flour
  • 2 eggs

Method

  1. preheat oven to 180 degrees fan
  2. mix sugar and butter together until light and creamy
  3. then whisk the eggs in a seperate bowl when they are whisked add them to the mixtur
  4. then fold in the remains of the flour
  5. line 2 cake tins about 6 inchs in diameter with baking paper and pour the mixture in evenly leave it to cook for about 20-25 minutes and un til it is light golden brown.
