1 cake mix or scratch cake

1 package strawberry jell-o

 1 cup hot water

cool whip

Bake cake from a mix or from scratch using a 9×13-inch pan. When it is done, punch holes in it. Make jell-o using only 1 cup hot water. Pour jell-o over cake. When cake cools, frost with cool whip. Chill and serve with fruit if desired.
