Low-carb Molten Gooey Chocolate Cake

This item is a chocolate cake recipe.

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

BAKING TIME: 15 minutes

SERVES: Four

 

Ingredients Required:

·         100 g dark chocolate (85% cocoa), chopped

·         100 g unsalted butter

·         3 eggs, beaten (at room temperature)

·         100 g artificial sweetener

·         ¼  tsp vanilla essence

·         A pinch of salt

·         2 tsp oats

Method:

·         Melt the chocolate pieces along with the butter for about 30 seconds in a microwave.

·         Stir until smooth and cool.

·         Add the eggs, sweetener (reserving some for dusting), vanilla essence and salt to the

chocolate mixture.

·         Stir in the oats.

·         Pour into six aluminium muffin cups and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

·         Remove and invert the cake onto individual serving dishes.

·         Cut into the centre of each so that the chocolate oozes out.

·         Serve, dusted with the reserved sweetener.

Tip: If the outside of the cake is done but the inside is uncooked, cover the top with aluminium foil and put it back in the oven till done.

    The recipe states: ” Stir in the oats.” What oats? There’s nothing in the Ingredients about oats…
