MISS MARY’S RAMBLINGS

I was very happy to hear that Haroletta Hensley’s (our former center
director) Grandson Kameron is finally out of the hospital. I know how it
feels to have a child sick and in hospital. We wish him the best of
luck.

We also got the good news that Joe Rice is out of hospital and back at
work. His wife Virginia told me that they had a very bad time of it for
a while but that they were blessed and he came through. God really is
good.

Tuesday was Press Haddix birthday. He is our bus driver at the center.
His daughter brought a beautiful yellow cake for him, Plus our center
made another lovely cake this one chocolate. We also had ice cream and
all sors of toppings. It was way too much but it was oh so very good..

Dena took several of the ladies shopping around town. They went to all
the craft shops and thrift stores. They seemed to enjoy themselves. But
then shopping trips are always enjoyed.

On Thursday The John and Ellis group entertained us with an hour or more
of wonderful foot tapping music. We had a house full that day. Lately we
have had two tables of Rook going nearly every day.

On Friday, A new volunteer, Debbie called bingo for us. Again we had a
pretty good crowd. Most of us enjoy playing Bingo.

Dena went on vacation. She will be back on Monday. The very day that Bob
and I are going to the Casino. We have a coupon for a free night at the
Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun Indiana. I don’t gamble much but I love
those nice big comfortable rooms. Plus we will get our dinner at the
Buffet for half price. Naturally I will take along a good book to read
while Bob is downstairs.

I know this is short but I have to stop for this week. Till we meet
again, may God Bless and keep us all. Mary Peck  668-7907
