Moist Low Calorie Chocolate Cake

Delight your taste buds with this scrumptious, easy, moist, low calorie treat.

Preheat oven to 325

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2cup of butter
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 1 2⁄3 cups of sugar
  • 1 1⁄2 cups milk
  • 1⁄2 cup and 1 TBSP cocoa powder
  • 3 TBSP oil
  • 1  tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Method

In a saucepan whisk1 egg till blended, stir in 2⁄3 cup sugar, 1⁄2 cup milk, cocoa powder and chocolate. Stir constantly over medium heat until mixture just comes to a boil remove from flame and cool to room temperature.

Cream shortening and remaining sugar add remaining eggs 1 at a time beat in vanilla set aside.

Mix flour ,baking soda and salt add to egg mixture alternately with the rest of the milk then beat in the chocolate mixture. Pour into two greased and floured 9 x 1 and 1 half inch round baking pans or two 9 x 9 x 2- inch square baking pans.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted into the center of each cake comes out clean.

Makes 30 slices of cake
