Pound Cake Recipe

A recipe for delicious pound cake.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract

Method:

  1. Cream butter and sugar together; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  2. Sift flour and baking powder together; add alternately with milk to egg mixture.
  3. Add almond extract and beat for 3 minutes; pour into a well-greased and floured tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for one hour.

Caution: Contains almond extract which could possibly cause allergic reactions.
