Wedding Ideas – Cake Favour Boxes

published by kellysbarefoot on Apr 14, 2012

As wedding trends change, finding something unique for your guests is proving a bit of a task.

You may have seen the cake favour boxes listed and wondered if they could be an idea for your wedding guests.  Let’s think outside the box (excuse the pun!).

Wedding cake favour boxes can be used for the slicing of the cake, pop a bit in the box and your guests can take it away with them.  Wedding cake favour boxes come in lots of different designs.  You can have personalised with the bride and grooms name and wedding date as an extra little keepsake.  Match them to your wedding them with hearts or butterflies on the top.

Another fab idea, well I think it is a great idea, though I could be bias, is to do what I did for my wedding day.

I purchased a number of wedding cake favour boxes, they were personalised as I mentioned above and had little butterflies attached to the top of the box.  I purchased some butterfly wedding confetti and lined the bottom of the boxes with the confetti.  I then purchased some loveheart sweets, the sweets that have lovely words written on like ‘I love you’ and placed a few inside the box.

I placed the cake favour boxes around the table for each guest attending my special day and their faces were a picture, thinking they were going to find a piece of cake in the box, you could see the smiles as they opened to find little loveheart sweet tokens!

It was a real hit and added a little twist to the traditional use of the wedding cake favour boxes.  Of course, you can put anything inside them and they can add a touch of uniqueness to your wedding day too.

I purchased my wedding cake favour boxes from Fairytale Favours and the price I paid for bulk was really good.  They have lots of lovely little hand-made items for sale, so you can mix and match to your theme or ideas.

I hope your day is as fun filled with lots of love as ours was.
