Caramel Pecan Rolls

Caramel Pecan Rolls Recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast + 1 cup warm water (105-115)
  • 1/4 cup  sugar
  • 2 Tbs. margarine, softened
  • 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 cups flour,sifted
  • 1/3 cup margarine,melted
  • 2/3 cup pecan halves (English walnut also good)
  • 1/2 cup sugar + 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbs. corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Method

  1. In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in sugar,salt, margarine,egg and 2 cups of flour. Beat with spoon until smooth. Add the rest of the flour kneading by hand until the dough is easy to handle. Place greased side up in a greased bowl. Cover tightly and let rise until double or refrigerate overnight.Combine melted margarine,sugar and syrup in oblong pan (18 by 9 1/2 by 2). Sprinkle nuts on top. Combine sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Ona floured board, roll dough into 15″ by 9″ ablong. Spead margarine onto dough (use plenty) and sprinkle sugar mixture on top. Roll up tightly,beginning at wide side. Seal edge well. Cut into 1″ slices and place in prepared pan. Cover and let rise in warm place until double, about 1 and 1/2 hours. HEat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 25-30 minutes. They will be brown on top. Invert pan immediately onto serving dish and remove. Can be frozen for use later.

    Another very nice recipe. I think you have enough to make a book. Why not write a book?
