Chocolate Cream Pie

Chocolate Cream Pie, really good.

Ingredients

  • 1 baked pie crust
  • 3 egg yolks which are beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 c.  whipped cream

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the egg yolks and the sugar.
  2. Add in the cornstarch, the cocoa powder, and the salt.
  3. Mix in milk.
  4. Stir gently.
  5. Place mixture into a large saucepan.
  6. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until boiling.
  7. Add in butter and vanilla extract.
  8. Cool slightly.
  9.  Place the mixture into pastry shell.
  10.  Chill before serving.
  11. Add whipped cream.
  12. Enjoy!
