Coconut Gizzard
Coconut gizzard sometimes called puff by the ordinary Jamaican lay man or open tarts by some of the sophisticated is one of the easiest dessert and is also very delicious.

Coconut gizzard sometimes called puff by the ordinary Jamaican lay man or open tarts by some of the sophisticated is one of the easiest dessert and is also very delicious.
Coconut is one of the nut that provide nutrients such as protein, fiber and fat and when used as desserts are universally loved by all whether they are used in cakes, pies, or puddings.
Ingredients
1.lb. short crust pastry
3. cups grated coconut
1. cup sugar
1.tsp vanilla
½. tsp nut meg
Method
a. mix all ingredients and set a side
b. Roll out pastry in one direction
c. Cut out into round shapes at the end of each bend the edges up about ½ inch up and pinch with the finger all around until an open case is made
d. Add the filling and put in on a baking sheet and put in a refrigerator for 5 minutes.
e. Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until pastry is cooked
f. Serving size one.
