Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!

published by Carol Zukosky on Mar 14, 2007

This is a recipe my mother and I developed when I was a child. It yields a huge amount of cookies, and will definitely stimulate your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. Rum extract
  • 1 tsp. Almond extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 375° F

Mix butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, rum extract, and almond extract in an extra large mixing bowl until smooth. Add eggs, baking soda and salt. Slowly mix in flour. Use a spoon to fold in chocolate chips. After adding all ingredients, put in refrigerator for 30 minutes, or until mixture is solid enough to work your hands into.

Flour your hands, and roll each cookie into a one-inch ball. Set on a greased 9”x11” baking sheet about 1 ½ inches apart. Bake each batch for 10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for a minute before removing from pan, and place them on a wire cooling rack.
