Chocolate Crinkles
What are chocolate crinkles? Chocolate crinkles are fudge-like cookies covered in confectioners or icing sugar.
Ingredients:
½ cup oil
1 ¾ cups sugar
3 cups all purpose flour
1 ¼ cup cocoa powder
2 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
Confectioners or icing sugar
Method to Make the Chocolate Crinkles:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a big bowl, combine all the ingredients except for the icing sugar.
- Mix until well blended.
- Form the dough into small 1 inch balls.
- Roll each ball in the icing sugar.
- Bake until the chocolate crinkles “crack” on top, about 8-10 minutes (Do not overbake or they will become dry). The center should still be soft.
- Place on a wire rack to cool.

Tip:
If you refrigerate the dough it will be easier to handle and shape.
