Creamy Toffee Rice-Crispie Squares

A delicious, simple recipe for the whole family.

For a treat for all of the family- and something easy to make if you want to get the kids involved, then try out this simple recipe for rice krispie squares with a difference! But be quick! Once you try one, you won’t be able to stop yourself from having another, and another…

Ingredients

  • 6 cups of rice crispy cereals
  • 1 large bag of original toffees
  • 1 bag of mini marshmallows
  • 1 small bag of chocolate chunks
  • Small knob of butter
  • Dash of milk

Instructions

  1. Line a large square baking tray with grease proof paper.
  2. Empty toffees into a large saucepan- making sure to remove all packaging first!
  3. Add knob of butter and melt over a medium heat until all toffees are melted. Stir in milk to thin the mixture.
  4. Pour rice krispies into a large mixing bowl. Add marshmallows.
  5. Stir in toffee mixture until all rice krispies are fully coated.
  6. Spoon into baking tray and pat surface down with the back of a metal spoon.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chunks over the top of mixture and place into a refrigerator for up to two hours.
  8. To serve, use a sharp knife to cut through rice crispie cakes into twelve squares. Enjoy!
