The Dutch Cookie recipe will become a favorite! This is not your run-of-the-mill oatmeal raisin cookie. Dutch Cookies are much better!

EASY DUTCH COOKIES

1/2 cup butter

3/4 cup sugar

1 egg, beaten

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon milk

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/3 teaspoon cloves

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup currants and raisins, mixed

Cream 1/2 cup butter and 3/4 cup sugar.  Add egg with vanilla.  Dissolve baking soda in milk.  Sift flour with cinnamon, cloves and salt.  Mix all ingredients together; add raisins and currants.  Chill mixture.  Roll out very thin and cut into desired shapes.  Sprinkle with granulated sugar.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
