Ginger Molasses Cookies

Try this recipe and let me know how u like it.

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 tspoon of salt
  • 1 1/2 tspoon of ground ginger
  • 1 tspoon of ground cinammon
  • 1/2 tspoon of ground allspice
  • 1/4 tspoon ground of cloves
  • 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of usalted butter softened ( 1 1/2 sticks)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup of molasses
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar

Method

Preheat the oven to 350 F.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, allspice and cloves. In an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the brown sugar and butter at medium speed until light in color. Add the egg and molasses, and beat until well combined, scraping the bowl as necessary. Reduce the speed to low and slowly add the flour mixture. Scrape the bowl and mix for 1 minute at medium speed.

Form the dough into tablespoon size balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar and place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 10n to 12 minutes, until slightly brown and puffed. Transfer to a rack to cool.
