Ingedients
3/4 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Molasses
1 Egg
2 1/4 Cups Flour
1 Tsp Ginger
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp Cloves
Cream together shortening,sugar,molasses and egg til light and fluffy looking. Sift together the dry ingredients. Stir in molasses mixture until well blended. Roll into small balls and roll in white sugar. Bake at 375 for approximately ten minutes. Cookies will spread a bit so place them apart from each other.
This recipe yields approximaley 5 dozen cookies. Enoy !
