Haystacks

Haystacks are a quick, simple sweet sometimes called one minute cookies.

Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- ½ c. cocoa*
- ½ c. milk
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
- ½ c. peanut butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Remove from heat. Mix in oatmeal, peanut butter, and vanilla.
- Drop by rounded teaspoons onto wax paper. Work quickly before the mixture cools.
- *For peanut butter haystacks simply leave out the cocoa.
- Mix sugar, cocoa, milk, and margarine in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly. Boil one minute.
Note: Measure and assembly all ingredients before you begin. Once mixture boils this comes together very quickly.
