Homemade Granola Bars
published by Rookie Expert on Nov 9, 2008
These Granola bars are not only healthy and filling but cost 1/2 the price than the granola bars found in the market. These chewy and filling bars are a must make/have in every house hold. Be sure you make plenty of them, they disappear in no time!
Makes about a dozen. Baking time 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 cups granola
- 2 medium size eggs
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup chocolate chips/ peanuts/ any other nuts
- (depending on what flavour you want to make.)
Method
In a large bowl, break the eggs and beat them well. Add the honey and mix. Add the granola and the nuts/ chocolate chips and stir with a wooden spoon. Make sure all the ingredients are mixed well. Preheat oven at 350 degree F. Pour the granola mixture in a well greased 8 by 8 inch pan, press firmly to level. Put into the oven for about 20 minutes. Cool on rack and cut into bars. Store in an air tight jar.
