Mincemeat Cookies for The Coming Holidays!
Now is the time of year that everybody who bakes decides what they want to bake. I thought I’d share mincemeat cookies for Thanksgiving and Chrstmas.
This cookie makes 6 dozen cookies
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
9 ounces of condensed and crumbled mincemeat
Preheat oven to 375F. In large mixer bowl, beat shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together dry ingredients; gradually add to shortening mixture. Mix well. Stir in mincemeat. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto greased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned Cool. Garnish an
