Healthy cookies that are easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 250g butter
  • 250g fine sugar(1 cup)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 cup roasted almond – chopped

Method

  1. Beat butter and sugar till smooth
  2. Sift flour & cocoa powder and add in to the butter.
  3. Add in rolled oats and chopped almond. Mix well.
  4. Roll the dough on a flat surface about 1 cm thick and cut it into squares.
  5. Transfer the squares onto a baking tray.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 150’C or until light brown.

Note – the dough is a bit sticky, do not add more flour. I sometimes make it into balls instead of squares.

It depends on the size of the squares you cut or the size of the balls you make. To be honest, i never really count it.. because the children would snap it up the moment it came out of the oven..
