Oatmeal and Raisin Cookies
Oatmeal and raisin cookies.
Nothing beats the taste of well made cookies. Crunching them definitely feels nice; if you’re a fan of chocolate you can make chocolate dipped oatmeal and raisin cookies. Cookies are very ideal especially during Christmas or when you go to a friend’s house for dinner. Homemade cookies are easy to make, they may consume your time but the end product is bound to put a smile on your face and that of your family. This chocolate dipped oatmeal and raisin cookies recipe will make about 2 dozen cookies.
You will need the following ingredients:
· Three quarter cups of raisins.
· 3 spoons of orange juice.
· Half a cup of either butter or margarine.
· Oatmeal about half a cup.
· One cup of flour (all purpose).
· Grated orange (2 table spoons).
· A tea spoon of baking soda.
Follow the procedure below to make the oatmeal and raisin cookies:
· Take a small bowl and mix the raisins and orange juice together, let the mixture stand for about 6 minutes.
· In another larger bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is fluffy.
· Put the orange grated peel in a smaller bowl and beat the egg inside until you get a fine mixture.
· In a separate bowl, mix the flour and the baking soda.
· Gently pour the flour into the mixture with butter and mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
· Mix the raisins and the oats properly in a bowl; ensure that the mixture is even.
You must be very careful with the temperature of the oven when making cookies, you must ensure they the oven is preheated to exactly 350 degrees.
· Line the baking sheet or grease it lightly incase its nonstick.
· Gently drop the dough using a round teaspoon on the baking sheet. Ensure that you space them, leave at least a two inch space.
· Make sure that you evenly flatten the cookies using the back side of the spoon.
· Bake the chocolate oatmeal and raisin cookies for about 10 to 12 minutes.
· The nice aroma indicates that the cookies are baked.
· Let them cool completely before serving them.
To make the chocolate coating, you need vegetable oil and 6 ounces of chocolate chips. Put the chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a bowl and put the mixture in a microwave for 1 minute. Dip the cookies into the mixture and store them in a container that is airtight.

I like this recipe;oatmeal and raisins. Yummy for cappuccino!
