Poor Man’s Cookies

Fattigman – poor man’s cookies, makes about three dozen. Easy, simple and good tasting.

Makes 3 dozen

Ingredients

  • 4       Dozen Eggs
  • ½      Cup of sugar
  •          Dash of salt
  • 4       Tablespoons evaporated fat free milk
  • 1 ½    Cups all-purpose flour
  •         Shortening or oil for frying sugar

Method

  • 1. Beat eggs, sugar, and salt until thick and light.
  • 2. Add evaporated milk and enough flour to make soft dough.
  • 3. Cut dough into diamond shapes and fry in hot shortening (375 degrees F)
  • 4. While warm, sprinkle cookies with sugar.
